Test manager on a User Acceptance Test (UAT) test in the Assets Management area. Focus of this short assignment was to drive the test execution phase towards go-live date. Test Manager leading End-to-End testing for a complex payment processing project.
The project succeeded to build a new payment processing platform to modernize and replace the legacy payment systems with a future-proofed solution based on cloud Microservice architecture using Java and state-of- the-art database and integration tools. The platform encompasses Clearing & Settlement as well as real- time payment authorizations. The project adheres to SAFe & Agile principles.
As a test manager, I was responsible for End-to-End testing in multiple areas. In my role as an E2E test manager, my responsibility was to test the deliveries from 5-10 development teams in a comprehensive End-to-End test.
As test manager I had responsibility for two main areas:
– Issuing & Acquiring Clearing & Settlement to phase out a legacy platform. Despite introducing an entirely new platform with numerous new technologies, only minor incidents occurred, without impacting the customers.
– Acquiring Authorisation, a “near real time” payment processing platform.
My major responsibilities included:
– Developing and executing test strategies and test plans.
– Managing the test team, with testers physically located across 5 countries.
– Implementing test automation.
– Playing a key role in integration and delivering an integrated solution to the market. – Collaborating with both the IT and business sides.
– Providing close support throughout all test phases and production deliveries.
